On Pellon
What is Pellon? The pellon being used here, is a Canadian [Quebec] made, synthetic interfacing, that can be used for the stabilization of, for example, quilting projects, as well as many other. Pellon, the magic in the middle.

Why paint on Pellon? Have you spotted those beautiful art pieces installed on not only, but predominantly, timber frame barns while driving through Prince Edward County? Barn quilts honour Canada's, and the USA's, quilters and the textile arts. And, since Jo and I seem to have a knack for turning things inside out, my interest is in experimenting with a material unseen and taken for granted.

The following gallery is of approx. 8x8 in | 20x20 cm acrylic paintings on Pellon, perfect for frames with a 7.75x7.75 in | 12x12 cm mat opening.
